how to play the cream

sunshine of your love guitar tabsMany fans of Cream are saying that “Sunshine of Your Love” is probably their best song in their career.

Jack Bruce and Eric Clapton (mainly Bruce) was the one who got the idea of the riff after they watched a Jimi Hendrix concert in Saville Theatre.

Funny thing is that, even Jimmy Hendrix is doing a cover of this song in his concerts but he did not know then that the guitar riff was inspired by his song.

Although the riff and overall music was composed by Clapton and Bruce, the poetic lyrics of the song was composed by Pete Brown, a beat poet who was friends with Ginger Baker and Jack Bruce. He also wrote lyrics for “I Feel Free” and “White Room.”
